The Friendship Center delivers groceries weekly to seniors and individuals who are unable to visit our pantry in person due to mobility challenges, health concerns, or other personal circumstances.

Residents living within our 10 mile service area Touhy Ave (N), Ravenswood Ave (E), Montrose Ave (S), and Pulaski Ave (W), that have mobility barriers, health concerns, or other personal circumstances (not due to transportation), are welcome to apply for our home delivery program, which is currently waitlisted. Home delivery recipients will receive groceries twice a month.

If you or someone you know needs assistance with groceries and is unable to come to the pantry in person, please fill out our home delivery interest form. You will hear from us within two weeks.

How To Support Home Delivery

More than ever, The Friendship Center recognizes the need to meet the moment in our community. We know many of our neighbors are no longer able to leave their homes, but still need access to free, fresh food. We need you to be a helping hand by joining our volunteer team or making a financial donation to help provide free, fresh groceries to anyone in our community who needs it.

Volunteer For Home Delivery

If you’re interested in volunteering for the Home Delivery program as a driver or bag packer, we require that you complete 10 hours of Front-of-House service with us prior to your first Home Delivery shift. 

The following shifts are eligible as part of completing your 10 required hours:

  • Grocery Distribution Greeter
  • Grocery Distribution Shopper/Bagger
  • Grocery Distribution Line Helper
  • Hot Meal FOH
